Three Generations of Japanese Flower Growers

Bachan's Bouquets

After World War II, our Bachan and Jichan immigrated to Salinas, California from a small agricultural region in Japan. With little more than their farming knowledge and a deep love for the land, they built greenhouses and began growing roses—delicate, resilient, and full of grace. Over time, their farm blossomed with gerberas and lilies, each bloom a testament to their vision.

Today, three generations of family work side by side to carry that legacy forward. We’re proud to be the only American growers licensed to cultivate David Austin roses—a rare honor rooted in tradition, craftsmanship, and the enduring spirit of Bachan and Jichan.
